I can't say that's terribly reassuring, but I can't say I'm exactly surprised to hear it either...we've been far overdue for a second horrible shoe actually dropping properly, of late.
Did you have a word with the captain yourself? Or did you pick up this hint from elsewhere?
Back at camp, the captain mentioned he doesn't collapse all of his pocket realities when passengers leave. I asked what makes the ones he keeps so special and he refused to answer, but according to Mr. Pleasant he seemed to take it to heart.

Oh, good, so I don't need to remind you. [Yet, anyway, though any horrible murders that might ensue could...indeed probably change this. Nothing for it but to wait and see what the future brings, though; in the meantime...] He'll probably try to rub it in your face somehow, I expect, if he's as petty as it sounds. But the onus does lie squarely upon him, regardless of what he might try to claim otherwise. Not exactly as if you're one trapping us all here, after all.
[Luke fell into quite a habit of blaming himself for things at every turn, for awhile...Jade may or may not be posing this preemptive argument in a knee-jerk sort of reminder of those times, so to speak. It would be refreshing and reassuring in equal measures, honestly, to be associated with a teen who doesn't immediately leap to such self-deprecation for once...even if it's sometimes easier said than done, he knows.

I shall be almost certainly signing up as well, on my own part; regardless of the levels of pleasantry, a blind eye cannot be turned to potential information, if any can be had. A more actualized sort of pocket dimension...I do wonder what it will be like.

[Setting aside the unpleasant matter of the captain apparently having ears nearly everywhere--which feels strange to be so used to already as a concept, when one thinks on it too hard--still, there's a nice and mean-spirited chuckle to be had from this, and Jade's taking what he can get.] Alas, with a threat as childish as that, he's probably actually serious...I suppose getting overly-zealous with collecting samples is out of the question, then.
Though we could still probably take the image-capture pictures with our phones, actually, couldn't we? To mock at our leisure later, of course. Hm, though I haven't actually tried using my phone during an excursion thus far...are they generally functional on such occasions, do you know?
